Project Portfolio Office formalises name change, reaffirms focus on PPO application

Online project portfolio management (PPM) application provider, Post Vision Technology has confirmed that it is officially undergoing a name change to Project Portfolio Office, having formally registered the new company name. The company is also reaffirming its singular focus on its cloud-based PPM and collaboration tool, PPO.

“Post Vision Technology was established in 2005, with the aim of providing a shrink-wrapped PPM system, an objective that, over the past 10 years, has helped companies around the globe to plan, manage, collaborate, execute and report on projects, programmes and portfolios,” states Project Portfolio Office co-founder and director, Guy Jelley.

“Since its humble beginnings, the business has grown and evolved, with a staff complement that has nearly doubled over the last year, formal Project Portfolio Office offices in Pretoria, Cape Town and London, and active partners in the UK, Ireland, Nigeria, Ghana and throughout South Africa.”

Jelley explains that the organisation recently underwent a branding exercise that confirmed what Project Portfolio Office essentially already knew – that the PPO brand in particular has gained a solid reputation within the project management space, especially within the South African market where core clients are medium- to large-sized corporates with a mature project management office (PMO), and that this was where its undivided attention needed to be placed.

“Project Portfolio Office has already kicked off a number of projects to reaffirm our product and brand within the market for both clients and partners – from a fresh look-and-feel, to a brand new website and blog; we look forward to revealing these exciting new developments moving forward.”

Jimmy Hekma, Project Portfolio Office co-founder and director, explains: “The benefits delivered by PPO are very real – its cloud-based nature means that it is simple to use, yet enterprise capable. It is also immediately available, with no long-term contract and simple, per user pricing. In addition, PPO is extremely flexible and can be configured to support any methodology.

“Testament to these benefits are a number of blue-chip users, including SABMiller, Deloitte, British Telecom, KPMG, Cummins, Sasol and Europcar as well as numerous government agencies, that are running successful projects on PPO across Africa, Europe and both North and South America,” Hekma concludes.
