Project Portfolio Office Scoops Up Industry Award

BankservAfrica crowned as South African PMO of the Year

The enterprise project management office (ePMO) of BankservAfrica, the largest automated clearing house in Africa, has taken the title of South Africa’s top PMO for 2022, with Altron Karabina, a Microsoft digital transformation partner, being named as runner up. The South African PMO Awards is an annual competition managed by Project Portfolio Office, a project and portfolio management (PPM) tool and solutions provider committed to growing the project management profession, in order to identify and recognise PMOs in South Africa that are delivering value to their organisations.

The project management office (PMO) of Sun International, a business with a proud legacy in the gaming, hospitality and entertainment sector, is using Project Portfolio Office’s cloud-based project and portfolio management (PPM) tool, PPO, to build maturity within its project environment, providing gentle guardrails to establish best practice, while efficiently managing projects.

Capitec takes local PMO of the Year award, PSG named runner up

The project management office (PMO) of Capitec Bank has been announced as the overall winner of the 2021 South African PMO Awards. The South African retail banking company beat three other semi-finalists to take the title, namely runners up PSG, as well as Nedbank Insurance and Alexander Forbes.

Harmony, a gold mining and exploration company with activities in both South Africa and Papua New Guinea, has successfully rolled out Project Portfolio Office’s PPO secure, cloud-based project portfolio management (PPM) tool, helping the organisation to manage a complex portfolio, which included the merging of AngloGold Ashanti’s remaining local assets into the Harmony business.
