Santam’s Technical Training Department chooses PPO

Santam is South Africa’s leading short-term insurer recognised locally and internationally for innovation and excellence and currently holds a local market share of 23%.

The Technical Training Department is not the traditional Project Management Office (PMO) environment and is made up of accidental project managers. One of the key responsibilities of this team is research and development into new products and services and needed to track project costs and time as it happens. Taking the lead from other areas within the organisation successfully using Project Portfolio Office (PPO) to manage IT related projects, Santam’s Technical Training Department chose PPO to enable this environment for improved delivery and a better understanding of time and cost efforts.
