What’s this “Boss’s Day”?

The team at PPO celebrated Boss’s Day, last week, on October 16th.  I haven’t been swimming around on the reception desk all that long, so this would be my first Boss’s Day. Anybody that sprinkles food flakes into my bowl is technically my boss.  However I think the team was excited about their two big bosses, Guy and Jimmy, as gifts were neatly placed at their designated spots in the office.  I was curious enough about this tradition to do a Wiki search and I read that Boss’s Day is a secular holiday celebrated in various countries. It is traditionally the day for employees to thank their bosses for being kind and fair throughout the year.  The “Where’s Wolly” spectacular poster book looked like a great novelty gift.  Hooray for kind bosses!
