PPO Quick Tip: Use Links for Faster Project Status Updates

In our latest Quick Tip, Guy Jelley from Project Portfolio Office shows how to save time on your regular project status updates using the links widget on your customised home page.

Instead of navigating through your project each week to reach your RAG indicators and comments, simply copy the URL of the exact screen you update, add it as a link on your home page, and assign an icon. Now, with one click, you can jump straight to your status dashboard—no matter what other projects you’ve been working on.

This shortcut works perfectly for RAG updates, comments, or any page you access frequently, helping you complete your weekly cycles faster using PPO’s inline editing.

If you’re looking for a quicker, more consistent way to handle your weekly project updates, give quick links a try. And if you’ve already built clever shortcuts on your home page, we’d love to hear how you’re using them!
