We’re thrilled to introduce PPO’s new in-line editing feature — designed to help you work faster, reduce admin, and keep your focus on delivery instead of navigation. With fewer clicks, instant access to the fields you need, and the ability to update information directly from your list, this enhancement makes your day-to-day user experience simpler, smoother, and far more efficient.
With in-line editing on list pages, you’ll notice a fresh set of icons designed for a smoother experience. The blue pencil icon places a row into edit mode, allowing you to modify any of the visible columns instantly. You can also use the gear icon to show or hide additional fields, giving you full control over what you want to view and edit. Once your updates are complete, the new Submit and Cancel buttons at the bottom of the screen let you easily review and confirm all your changes before saving.
This new capability replaces the previous multiple edit process, where users had to select items via checkboxes, open a separate edit screen, and ensure the correct columns were visible before making changes. Now, editing happens directly in the list — reducing clicks and keeping your focus exactly where it belongs: on managing and delivering your projects.
As part of this enhancement, several new icons have been introduced for even greater flexibility:
- Add icon – quickly add new records directly from the list.
- Copy icon – easily duplicate an existing record.
- Automatic dependencies – when in edit mode, all dependency fields are automatically added to the list for seamless updates.
Another major advantage of in-line editing is that you can now view and edit in context, including calculated fields that weren’t visible before in the multiple edit screen. This makes it especially useful for status reporting and reviewing details like the Previous RAG at a glance.
Following the introduction of the side panel, in-line editing takes PPO’s usability one step further — reducing clicks and streamlining your project updates.
Watch the video below to see how in-line editing transforms the way you manage your lists in PPO.
We do our very best to make PPO better every day, so we’d love to hear your feedback on these latest enhancements.
