Scheduler – Gantt & PDF Improvements in PPO

We’re excited to share another round of enhancements to PPO’s Scheduler and Gantt chart widget functionality. These improvements focus on flexibility, better reporting, and smoother exports — making it easier than ever to plan, track, and present your projects.

Here’s what’s new:

Use the Gantt View with a Single Date

Previously, the Gantt widget could only be applied to data that included both a start and end date. That’s no longer the case!

Now, the Gantt widget can be used with just a single date field, automatically displaying the item as a milestone. This means you can now apply the Gantt view to all entities — such as risks, issues, for follow-up dates — even when only one date is captured.

Better PDF Exports

Your exported reports just got an upgrade. The Gantt chart now expands to the full-page width in PDF exports, improving readability and ensuring that every detail is visible when sharing schedules outside of PPO.

Enhanced Reports & Dashboards

We’ve modernised how Gantt charts are displayed across PPO. The new Gantt widget replaces the older Gantt view used in key dashboards like Project Status and Executive Dashboards, giving you a more consistent, cleaner, and interactive experience.

Smarter PDF Page Breaks

Exporting Gantt charts to PDF is now seamless:

  • No more broken task bars: Tasks are moved to the next page if they would otherwise be split by a page break.
  • Dependency lines remain intact: Dependency arrows spanning multiple pages are now properly aligned, fixing the broken or misaligned lines that used to appear.

These improvements ensure your exported Gantt charts look professional and are presentation-ready, every time.

We do our very best to make PPO better every day, so we’d love to hear your feedback on these latest enhancements.
