PPO has extended its integration capabilities with the release of a new web service method that allows for creating custom list items via our SOAP-based API. This enhancement opens the door for even more seamless system-to-system integration, giving you greater control and flexibility when syncing data between PPO and external systems.
What’s new?
Previously, PPO’s SOAP-based API already provided a rich set of web methods to retrieve custom list data, including:
- GetCustomListItemKey – Retrieves a custom list item key by description
- GetCustomListItem – Retrieves a custom list item for the specified key
- GetCustomListItems – Retrieves custom list items for the specified item list key
- GetCustomList – Retrieves custom list items for the specified custom list key
- GetCustomLists – Retrieves all custom lists
The newly added method supports:
- Automated creation or updates of custom list items using XML input.
- Improved data consistency across platforms without the need for manual intervention.
What does this mean for you?
This enhancement supports:
- Faster onboarding and synchronisation of custom list data.
- Easier automation of list updates from external systems.
- Reduced manual effort and risk of human error.
- Greater flexibility in how you manage reference data used in PPO custom lists and forms.
