As we close out 2025, we’re proud to reflect on a year shaped by major product advancements, expanded capabilities, and inspiring client stories across our quarterly product webinar series. Each session brought together hundreds of PPO users eager to learn, collaborate, and stay ahead of the latest platform enhancements.
Here’s a look at what made this year’s series our most impactful yet:
March: Launch of the PPO Scheduler — A New Era of Planning
We kicked off the year with one of PPO’s most transformative releases: the PPO Scheduler. This built-in scheduling capability empowers teams to build, manage, and track schedules directly in PPO, removing the need for costly third-party tools. Improved Gantt visualisation, task dependencies, and progress rollups made planning faster, more accurate, and fully integrated.
Momentum Africa’s Head of PMO, Victor Chidongo, shared how PPO’s customised home page dashboards help them oversee a multi-country portfolio and track benefits more effectively.
June: Multiple Resource Assignments & Advanced Scheduler Enhancements
June delivered a long-requested capability: assigning multiple resources to a single task or item, eliminating duplication and enabling more accurate task and resource management.
Scheduler improvements further enhanced planning efficiency:
- Task-level planned progress for better accuracy
- Calculated predecessor on task views, lists, and edit forms
- Colour-coded bars and milestones for clearer timeline visualisation
- Dependency arrows on single-project Gantt views
Certa Ireland also showcased how automated document approvals reduced lost documents, shortened turnaround times, and provided a full, auditable approval trail — helping them work more efficiently and confidently.
September: Side Panel & Streamlined Workflows
Our September session introduced PPO’s new side panel, keeping key actions like view, edit, and add on the same screen. By reducing clicks and keeping users anchored in context, everyday updates are faster, simpler, and more focused — a big step toward a smoother, more efficient PPO experience.
Additional Scheduler refinements improved reporting and output quality:
- Better PDF page breaks
- Removal of PDF stretching
- Gantt widget now available within reporting
The University of the Western Cape (UWC) shared how PPO has strengthened its project prioritisation process, ensuring resources and focus are directed to the right initiatives at the right time. His real-world insights gave attendees practical ideas for improving decision-making and governance.
November: In-Line Editing, Calculated Key Metrics & Demand Management at Nedbank Private Wealth
The final webinar of 2025 introduced In-Line Editing, allowing users to update single or multiple values directly on list pages. This enhancement significantly reduces clicks and speeds up routine updates.
Attendees also saw Calculated Key Metrics in action, unlocking richer portfolio insights without manual calculations. We also revisited Gantt improvements, PPO History Reports, and the new sticky feed header.
Nedbank Private Wealth shared how PPO supports innovation-driven demand management, capturing, evaluating, and prioritising new ideas — even from non-PPO users — ensuring that the most valuable initiatives move forward.
